VITCAS FIRE CEMENT

A specialised construction material that offers excellent heat resistance, high adhesion, and resistance to thermal shock. 

Playing a crucial role in the construction, repair, and maintenance of heat-intensive appliances and structures, Vitcas provides good value reliable seals, ensuring safe and efficient operation in high-temperature environments.

The paste consistency material is manufactured to withstand very high temperatures. It sets rock hard when exposed to heat or at room temperature, although the process takes longer the lower the temperature. It is believed to have been discovered towards the end of the 19th Century and is classified as an air setting material. Fire cement can be utilised in any application with temperatures up to 1250°C.

In domestic situations this translates to a very versatile and useful product both for installation and repair applications.
Fire cement can be used to:

• repair small cracks and small patches of damage to fire bricks and fire backs in fireplaces, gas cookers, stoves and ranges, central heating systems and boilers,
• repair fire backs for jointing internal flue pipes and on all structures subject to temperatures up to 1250°C,
• join internal flue pipes especially the first joint between the flue pipe and the spigot of the stove,
• seal ceramic flue liners in a chimney,
• seal against the escape of flue gases and smoke.

Vitcas Premium Black Fire Cement comes in a mastic consistency. It is used for repairing and sealing on stoves, fireplaces and appliances which require a black cement to match their aesthetic.
